FAQ
Common questions on ordering, shipping, care, and custom work. If what you're looking for isn't here, email axeldecorla@gmail.com and we'll get back to you.
How long until my sculpture ships?
Every piece is made to order in the LA studio. Standard production time is 2–3 weeks from the date of your order. You'll receive tracking by email once the piece ships.
Are the sculptures made for outdoor use?
Yes. Every Axel Decor sculpture is built with heavy-gauge steel and a weatherproof finish. They're designed to live outside through sun, rain, and salt air. For coastal or high-humidity climates, we recommend an annual coat of clear outdoor sealer (available as an add-on at checkout).
Can I request a custom color or size?
In many cases, yes. Email axeldecorla@gmail.com before ordering with what you have in mind and we'll let you know what's possible and confirm any upcharge in writing before we start.
How are the sculptures shipped?
We pack each piece in custom-cut foam and reinforced boxing. Standard pieces ship via FedEx or UPS Ground. Larger statement pieces (36"+ and 60" agaves) ship via freight.
Do you ship internationally?
By request. Email us before ordering with your destination and piece size and we'll quote shipping.
Can I return a piece?
Standard pieces have a 14-day return window for unused pieces in original condition. Custom pieces are final sale because they're built to your specifications. See the full Refund Policy for details.
How do I install my sculpture?
Most pieces are designed to stake into the ground or sit on a flat surface. A stainless steel ground anchor kit is available as an add-on for outdoor installations. For specific installation advice on your piece, email axeldecorla@gmail.com — happy to walk you through it.
What is the sculpture made of?
Heavy-gauge carbon steel, cut and welded by hand, then finished with a UV-stable powder coat or oxidized patina depending on the color option. Every piece is signed by Alex on the back.
Who makes these?
Axel Decor is founded and run by Alexander Archondakis in Los Angeles, California. Every piece is designed, cut, welded, and finished by him personally — no outsourcing, no factories.
Can I see pieces in person?
Axel Decor is online-only, shipping direct from the studio. Follow @axeldecor on Instagram to see recent work and installations in collectors' yards.
