Make it at home.

A few simple steps to shape, place, and anchor your sculpture.

Ground anchor included. Clear coat already applied.

  1. Unpack with care

Remove the packaging and lift the sculpture by its base or body, never by the leaf tips. Take care around the steel points and edges. Your ground anchor is included, and the clear coat is already applied.

  2. Open the leaves slowly

Use both hands to slowly bend the outside leaves outward, then work toward the middle. The leaves and petals flex at the base. Open the leaves enough to reach the hole in the very center of the base, between the two largest middle leaves.

  3. Choose your spot

Place the sculpture on stable, well-drained ground. The included anchor is for soil installation. Check for buried irrigation lines, cables, and other obstructions before inserting it. For concrete, paving, or another hard surface, contact the studio for guidance.

  4. Insert the ground anchor

The anchor is a steel round bar with a plate welded onto one end. Guide the bar down inside the sculpture, between the two largest middle leaves, and through the hole in the very center of the base into the ground. Keep the welded plate above the base. The bar anchors the sculpture to the soil. If it meets an obstruction, stop and reposition rather than forcing it.

  5. Check the placement

Give the sculpture a gentle nudge to check that it is secure. If it rocks or the anchor will not hold in the soil, contact the studio before leaving it in place. Check the anchor periodically and after severe weather.

After installation

A little care goes a long way.

Rinse with plain water as needed, inspect for chips, and follow the Care Guide for touch-ups and clear-coat maintenance. Clear coat helps protect the finish, but it does not guarantee that steel will never rust.

Need a hand?
