Made to stay
with you.

A sculpture becomes part of the story of the place around it.

I have always made things.

I'm Alexander Archondakis. I grew up in West Hills, California, making things with whatever was nearby: guitars, storyboards, skate ramps, half-finished ideas.

The medium changed. The impulse did not. I wanted to understand how things were built, then make something that could remain.

Then I found steel.

In my twenties, a want-ad led me to a Los Angeles garage filled with a forge, an anvil, a plasma cutter, and two unfinished steel agaves.

I learned to cut sheet metal and weld each piece together. Steel was honest. You could not fake your way through a weld. I fell in love with the process.

The desert keeps showing up.

Joshua Tree, agaves, yuccas, and the stubborn geometry of plants that survive the heat shaped the way I see a landscape.

Those forms became steel sculptures: architectural, tactile, and alive in changing light. Each one is made to hold its ground without overpowering the place around it.

One set of hands. One piece at a time.

Axel Decor has been running since 2020 from a former auto-body shop in Los Angeles.

Every piece is cut, welded, and finished by hand after it is ordered. When you bring one home, you are bringing home a direct line to that process.

The next chapter is wherever you place it.

A garden. A courtyard. A corner that needed one strong, quiet thing. Choose the piece that speaks to your space, and let the story continue there.
