About the Axel Agave
Steel, handcrafted in Los Angeles. The base is continuous with the leaves — steel all the way down, no separate plate bolted on. Every piece is one integrated sculpture. Rustic is a patina mixed by hand and sealed under clear; other finishes are painted colors. Every sculpture includes a 2K urethane clear coat as standard. Weather resistant, with plain-water cleaning and a clear-coat refresh every 12 months. Every sculpture is one of a kind. Small variations in finish, leaf shape, and texture are part of the handcrafting process. No two are identical. Made by artist Alexander Archondakis. Steel, cut, welded, and finished by hand in Los Angeles, then sealed under a 2K urethane clear coat. Small variations in leaf shape, texture, and finish are part of the process.
Shipping & delivery
All sculptures are made to order and ship in 2–3 weeks after payment. Carrier transit time is additional. Free domestic shipping is included. You’ll receive tracking when your sculpture leaves the studio.
Care & installation
Your sculpture arrives clear-coated, with a steel ground anchor in the box. See the installation guide for unpacking and placement. The coating makes the steel weather resistant, not rust-proof; chips, scratches, and worn coating can allow rust. Review the Care Guide for cleaning and annual clear-coat maintenance, including how maintenance is quoted.
Warranty & repairs
Serialized sculptures made from August 2026 carry a lifetime limited structural warranty and a five-year limited finish warranty for the original purchaser. Covered U.S. claims include shipping both ways.
Every sculpture arrives with its protective clear coat already applied. This makes it weather resistant, not rust-proof. Rust can develop where chips, scratches, or worn coating expose the steel. The warranty covers specified coating failures; it does not guarantee that a sculpture will never rust.
Fading and gloss loss are excluded. Coastal exposure has separate conditions. Paid repair and refinishing remain available for older sculptures and later owners.
